After you add a .las or .laz file in the DEM Import Wizard dialog , you can verify the data.

Click on Show to see the tile in LasView.

If you click on LAS Info, the LAS File Header dialog opens, wich shows information from the file header, like the Number of Points by Return or the Extent.
