1. SSL Patch - Please download OCAD 12 and 2019 Service Update

In recent time, there has been a problem for OCAD 12, 2018 and 2019 users to start or update their software.
To solve this problem, there is an OCAD 12 & 2019 SSL Patch available.

The error message you may get says "Error connecting with SSL". It can show up in OCAD 12, 2018 or 2019.

Update OCAD now to avoid problems. Please do the following:
- Go to our Wiki Page OCAD 12 and 2019 Updater
- Download the tool called OCAD 12 and 2019 Updater. It's a simple exe-file, which does not need any installation. For Windows 64-bit use the 64-bit version, otherwise the 32-bit version.
- Run this tool to get an overview about installed OCAD 12 and 2019 editions. Click the "Download and install update" button for OCAD installations that are not up to date.

Obviously the OCAD 12 and 2019 Updater also can be used as a general overview and update tool for OCAD installations!

2. OCAD Route Analyzer BETA

Downloading the latest Service Update brings you also a new function for course setting projects for sprint orienteering.

The newly added Route Analyzer helps you to see and evaluate possible route choises between two controls. Moreover, you can get the shortest route for each course.

Note: This function is still a BETA version and will be developed further. Your feedbacks are very welcome.

3. ISSprOM 2019

The latest mapping standard for sprint orienteering maps, called ISSprOM 2019, has been published by the IOF. The document can be downloaded from the IOF website.

OCAD has implemented the new standard in their symbol sets, which you get with the latest Service Update. The ISSprOM 2019 is valid from 1 January 2020. Until then, the current ISSOM 2007 is still in use.

More information, as well as translation for all languages and update tables for the new symbol sets, will follow at a later date.

4. ISOM 2017-2

In addition to publishing the new ISSprOM 2019, the IOF has also recently updated the International Specification for Orienteering maps, called ISOM 2017-2.

In the latest Service Update, OCAD has implemented a new function Update Symbol Set to update maps drawn according to ISOM 2017 to the new ISOM 2017-2 standard. There will be approximately 15 changes to your symbol set. The ISOM 2017-2 can be downloaded from the IOF website.

The changes have also been adopted to the OCAD symbol sets Orienteering Map ISOM 2017 10’000 and Orienteering Map ISOM 2017 15’000. If you start a new map, you work automatically with the latest ISOM 2017-2 version. The changes are effective immediately.

1. SSL Patch: Bitte das aktuelle OCAD Service Update herunterladen

In letzter Zeit gab es Probleme für OCAD 12, OCAD 2018 und OCAD 2019 Nutzer die Software zu starten oder zu aktualisieren.
Um dieses Problem zu beheben, ist nun ein OCAD 12 & 2019 SSL Patch verfügbar.

Die Fehlermeldung, welche Sie möglicherweise erhalten, lautet "Error connecting with SSL". Betroffen sind OCAD 12, 2018 or 2019 Nutzer.

Aktualiseren Sie OCAD jetzt, um Probleme zu vermeiden. Führen Sie bitte folgende Schritte aus:
- Gehen Sie auf unsere Wiki-Seite OCAD 12 and 2019 Updater
- Laden Sie den OCAD 12 and 2019 Updater herunter (für Windows 64-bit die 64-bit-Version, ansonsten die 32-bit-Version). Es handelt sich um eine simple exe-Datei, welche keine Installation benötigt.
- Nach dem Start des Updaters erhalten Sie eine Übersicht aller installierten OCAD 12 und 2019 Editionen. Nicht aktuelle Installationen können mit einem Klick auf die Schaltfläche Download and install update aktualisiert werden.

Natürlich kann der OCAD 12 and 2019 Updater auch unabhängig vom aktuellen SSL-Problem als Übersicht- und Aktualisierungs-Tool für OCAD-Installationen verwendet werden!

2. Route Analyzer BETA

Im neuen Service Update wurde dem Bahnlegungsmodul die Funktion Route Analyzer hinzugefügt. Diese hilft Ihnen mögliche Routen zwischen zwei Posten zu sehen und zu analysieren. Ebenfalls kann die kürzest mögliche Route einer gesamten Bahn automatisch berechnet werden.

Bitte beachten: Diese Funktion ist eine BETA-Version und wird noch weiter entwickelt werden. Rückmeldungen sind jederzeit willkommen.

3. ISSprOM 2019

Die neuen Spezifikationen für Sprint OL-Karten wurden vom Internationalen OL Verband (IOF) veröffentlicht. Herunterladen können Sie die ISSprOM 2019 auf der IOF Webseite.

OCAD hat im neusten Service Update die Sprintkarten-Symbolsätze den neuen Spezifikationen angepasst. Die ISSprOM 2019 wird ab 1. Januar 2020 in Kraft treten. Bis dahin gilt weiterhin die ISSOM 2007.

Mehr Informationen, Übersetzungen der Symbolsätze, sowie eine Vorlage zum Anpassen von alten Symbolsätzen, folgen zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt.

4. ISOM 2017-2

Zusätzlich zur neuen ISSprOM 2019 hat die IOF ebenfalls die Internationalen Spezifikationen für OL-Karten, nun ISOM 2017-2, aktualisiert.

Im neusten Service Update hat OCAD die Funktion Symbolsatz aktualisieren hinzugefügt um OL-Karten, welche nach ISOM 2017 Norm gezeichnet wurden, leicht an die neue ISOM 2017-2 anzupassen. Dabei werden etwas 15 Änderungen am Symbolsatz vorgenommen. Die neue ISOM 2017-2 kann auf der IOF Webseite heruntergeladen werden.

Die Änderungen wurden den OCAD Symbolsätzen Orienteering Map ISOM 2017 10’000 und Orienteering Map ISOM 2017 15’000 bereits zugefügt. Die ISOM 2017-2 gilt seit Januar 2019.
