{"id":2030,"date":"2024-10-08T13:18:41","date_gmt":"2024-10-08T11:18:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ocad.com\/blog\/?p=2030"},"modified":"2024-10-09T16:20:12","modified_gmt":"2024-10-09T14:20:12","slug":"isskiom-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ocad.com\/blog\/2024\/10\/isskiom-update\/","title":{"rendered":"ISSkiOM Update"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The International Specifications for Ski Orienteering Maps have been modified and released as <a href=\"https:\/\/orienteering.sport\/iof\/mapping\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ISSkiOM 2019 Revision 3<\/a>, which is valid from 1st December 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most important changes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>New symbols for tracks which must be stayed on<br><em>Sometimes due to special considerations, competitors are required to stay on the track and are forbidden to leave the track to the side or join the track from the side. These tracks are shown on the map with orange color.<\/em> <em>(IOF ISSkiOM 2019 Revision 3, chapter 2.5)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For a better readability, a white mask (0.15 mm on each side) is used under all green and orange track symbols<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>New Symbol for <em>Dangerous section<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ocad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/ISSKIOM2019r3-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"580\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/ocad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/ISSKIOM2019r3-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2038\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ocad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/ISSKIOM2019r3-1.png 580w, https:\/\/ocad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/ISSKIOM2019r3-1-300x155.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to work with the new specifications?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To work with the updated symbol sets already now, you can download a so-called silent update in OCAD under the menu <em>Help&gt;Download Update<\/em>.
