Other line symbols such as <em>fences<\/em>, <em>cliffs<\/em>,<em> earth banks<\/em> also have tags within the symbol definition and therefore it is important where the start and end points of these symbols are located.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In the OCAD symbol sets, the tags of the symbols always point to the right when drawing an object.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the tags point to the wrong direction, you must <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ocad.com\/wiki\/ocad\/en\/index.php?title=Edit_Object#Reverse_Object_Direction\" target=\"_blank\">reverse  the object direction<\/a> (Menu Object &gt; Reverse Object Direction or create a <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ocad.com\/wiki\/ocad\/en\/index.php?title=Options#Shortcuts\" target=\"_blank\">Shortcut<\/a>), so that the first vertex becomes the last one and vice versa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ocad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/ObjectDirectionLineSymbols-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"580\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/ocad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/ObjectDirectionLineSymbols-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1632\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ocad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/ObjectDirectionLineSymbols-1.png 580w, https:\/\/ocad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/ObjectDirectionLineSymbols-1-300x155.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Point Symbols<\/strong><br>Most point symbols are oriented to North (e.g. <em>tower<\/em>, <em>small depression<\/em>). For others, such as <em>wells<\/em>, <em>springs<\/em> or <em>small cliffs<\/em>, you can specify a particular direction for the object. Click and drag in the direction you want the point object to face. Area symbols such as <em>vegetation one direction<\/em>, <em>orchard<\/em>, or <em>vineyard<\/em> can also be aligned using the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ocad.com\/wiki\/ocad\/en\/index.php?title=Edit_Object#Indicate_Direction_of_Area_Pattern_or_Point_or_Text_Object\" target=\"_blank\">Indicate direction of area pattern, point or text object<\/a> function.
