{"id":1390,"date":"2022-05-09T16:10:00","date_gmt":"2022-05-09T14:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ocad.com\/blog\/?p=1390"},"modified":"2022-05-09T16:14:16","modified_gmt":"2022-05-09T14:14:16","slug":"script-error-new-component-required-for-correct-display","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ocad.com\/blog\/2022\/05\/script-error-new-component-required-for-correct-display\/","title":{"rendered":"Script Error: New component required for correct display"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In some cases, Open Street Map integration with OCAD no longer works properly and you receive a <em>Script Error<\/em> message like the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ocad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/ScriptErrorOSM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"444\" height=\"283\" src=\"https:\/\/ocad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/ScriptErrorOSM.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1393\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ocad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/ScriptErrorOSM.png 444w, https:\/\/ocad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/ScriptErrorOSM-300x191.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 444px) 100vw, 444px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to solve this issue ?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Please makue sure you have installed the latest <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ocad.com\/wiki\/ocad\/en\/index.php?title=Service_Update\" target=\"_blank\">OCAD Update<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li><li>Visit <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ocad.com\/wiki\/ocad\/en\/index.php?title=Microsoft_Edge_WebView2\" target=\"_blank\">this page<\/a><\/strong> to fix the error.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Functions that may be affected by this error message includes <em>New Map Wizard<\/em>, <em>Rotate Map to Magnetic North<\/em>, <em>Magnetic Declination<\/em> and <em>Online Map Services<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This bug will not be not fixed in OCAD 12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How did this error happen?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Open Street Map no longer supports Internet Explorer, which was previously used in OCAD to display web content. That&#8217;s why OCAD uses now Microsoft Edge WebView2. Microsoft Edge WebView2 is already installed on computers running Windows 11, but not on older versions of Windows. Therefore, the  <a href=\"https:\/\/developer.microsoft.com\/en-US\/microsoft-edge\/webview2\/#download-section\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Microsoft Edge WebView2<\/a>  must be installed manually on these devices.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In some cases, Open Street Map integration with OCAD no longer works properly and you receive a Script Error message like the following: How to solve this issue ?
